To use the WAN port of the mdex router MX530/560/880 or the Teltonika RUT-series as an additional LAN port, the following steps are required:

mdex router & Teltonika RUT-series (legacy).

Here are the steps for mdex routers and the Teltonika RUT-series up to firmware version R_00.06. (Legacy Firmware):

1. Login to WebUI of the router:
2. Activate the Expert Mode (Only required on MX530/880) in the top right corner.
3. Click on Network LAN, then click on the Advanced Settings tab.
4. activate the parameter Use WAN port as LAN:
   
5. Click Save to save the setting.

Now the WAN port of the router can be used as an additional LAN port.
Special functions of the mdex router that require a WAN port can now no longer be used.

Teltonika RUT-series (from firmware R_00.07.03)

Here are the steps for the Teltonika RUT-series from firmware version R_00.07.03.

1. Login to WebUI of the router: (In "MODE: ADVANCED", the parameter for activation is not offered.)
2. Click on Network LAN, then click on the edit icon.
3. Activate the parameter Use WAN port as LAN:
   
4. Click Save & Apply to save the setting.

Now the WAN port of the router can be used as an additional LAN port.
Special functions of the router that require a WAN port can now no longer be used.
