To use the WAN port of the the Teltonika RUT series or mdex Router MX530/560/880 as an additional LAN port, the following steps are required, depending on the router model:

Teltonika Router

See Configure Router WAN port as an additional LAN port in the Wireless Logic Help Center.

mdex Router MX530/MX560/MX880

1. Login to WebUI of the router:
2. Activate the Expert Mode (Only required on MX530/880) in the top right corner.
3. Click on Network LAN, then click on the Advanced Settings tab.
4. activate the parameter Use WAN port as LAN:
   
5. Click Save to save the setting.

Now the WAN port of the router can be used as an additional LAN port.
Special functions of the mdex router that require a WAN port can now no longer be used.
